Few people have the knowledge of how loud the rock concert truly is and also the effects it may cause to your hearing. Some concerts are measured to be as loud as one hundred fifty decibels. This is quite shocking since the average sound tolerance of a normal human being is just one hundred thirty decibels. It is not uncommon for musicians to experience tinnitus or hearing loss from their exposure to this level of sound intensity.
Choosing the best rock concert moment of all time can be a tough call, and it can be affected by personal preferences, but there are still some moments which stand out of the rest, for a reason or another. The next list a is just five of the best, rock concert moments that have earned a place in history and will never be forgotten. 1) Classic rock fans may remember the infamous performance by The Who on a 1967 appearance on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour television show. The group's drummer, Keith Moon, decided to make a splash and put a bunch of explosives on his bass drum. These were detonated during the finale with memorable results. Bette Davis was a guest on the show that week had no idea what was going on and fainted and Pete Townshend, the lead singer for The Who had his hair set on fire. Moon certainly made the performance memorable, but not necessarily for all the right reasons. 2) Elvis Presley got the country all shook up with his hip-shaking television performances on the Milton Berle Show in 1956. Much of the audience, both in the studio and watching at home on television, didn't know how to deal with Elvis' style, but just the same this televised concert propelled Elvis to his spot as the King of Rock and Roll, a place he holds to this day. 3) A live concert by Queen at Wembley Stadium in 1985 earns a spot on the list for the powerful performance of Freddy Mercury at the Live Aid festival. Freddy reached out to the audience and got them all clapping in unison, no small task when you consider there were 75,000 people present. According to a 2005 BBC poll, this event still ranks at the top of the list as the best rock concert moment ever during a live concert. 4) At the top of the list as far as controversial events go is Jimi Hendrix's unforgettable performance of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock in 1969. His unique rendition, accompanied by twangs and hits on his guitar that resembled the sounds of war, earned him either admiration or hatred from all who heard it, with very few listeners remaining on the middle ground. 5) No listing of top rock concert moments would be complete without a mention of the American debut of a group of lads from Liverpool, England on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. While this concert played for a small studio audience and not in a huge arena, it was watched by much of America and launched The Beatles to fame in this country. In the end the one thing that can make or break a great concert is the right guitar. That is why you always need to go to Element Cable for your acoustic guitar reviews. Trust me on this one.

Many people like playing guitar, but only a few know how to play it, meaning that just a few of them end up mastering it. What I mean is that many stop practicing new things after learning a thing or two because they never found a good guitar guide, and do not see how it can become an endless music journey. To start playing the way professionals do it is important, to have a fresh perspective to realize what you are doing correctly and in what areas you could make an improvement. The truth is that there is always an alternative that can be done when we get to a moment where we see that there is a big rock blocking you when playing guitar as a learner. You have learned how to play guitar, and you have been doing it for some time now, maybe a year or less, or even perhaps for a couple of years, and you feel that you have gotten into that moment that I was mentioning in the previous paragraph, what can you do? What you need to consider is that it is normal to feel like that, and as I mentioned before, there are ways to start practicing guitar that will help you and I want to give you a few tips you can do to get a fresh start. 1. Stop playing guitar for a while. Take a breath, just relax and consider it for a minute, if you stop playing guitar for let's say a week or so when you start playing again you are going to have this feeling to start playing again, and that's good, it will be as if you recharging batteries. 2. Listen to a different type of music. Let's say that one is into punk music, then try listening to some country, blues or some jazz musicians and when you listen to a song that you like, then try to play it, reading tablature or if you have learned music theory, look for the music sheet for that song particularly. 3. Search for new skills to learn on your guitar. Now that you are listening to different types of music, then try to learn a couple of skills of blues and jazz, and this will be good for you to get your fingers set loose, and you will get a different to start making up awesome solos on your guitar. 4. Have your Metronome ready. Now that you are trying more scales on your guitar use the metronome to play them and start putting some speed on your fingers. 5. Look for inspiration. Start looking around for DVDs of your favorite guitar players; the feeling one gets from watching them on stage is the fuel you need to start working on your guitar skills immediately. These are just a couple of ideas that you can start using to take your guitar playing to a new level. Take a cup of coffee, think about what you want and go for it, do you want to be like many people out there that only learn how to play a couple of your favorite songs or do you want to explore your full potential? Think about it and go for it. |
